While I like the ABS plastic, that’s about it. Let’s see, one door panel didn’t have the cutout for the window crank. Contacted them about what to use to cut it. Got a delayed response from them, so I researched it myself and used the other panel as my template. Their response was send us a picture. No way I’m delaying that much time to send pictures to get an answer on what to cut it. A bunch of holes didn’t line up on some other panels which isn’t big deal because I’m sure that will happen unless you have the car there. One of the rear panels turned out to be about 3/8” short. If it was seated all the way back the gap showed at the wheel panel. If pushed it up to the wheel panel it didn’t fit in the trim channel at the back. The hatch panel that was shipped with my kit was for a 1972-1976 even though I purchased for a 1968-1971 bus. So now it doesn’t have the latch notch. Large side panel has a gap at the front. I’ve tried contacting them over the cutting or trimming of the panels with no response, I contacted them asking if they sell the walk through panels with no response. My suggestion is cool if you just want these as templates which is what I’m gonna do now, since if had to make new holes in them with old holes that are now unused. Along with making some the will actually fit. Just wish I didn’t have to spend as much on a set of panels that will now only be template references.

Glad you appreciate the durability of the ABS plastic, though we want to clear a few things up regarding support and the install process. We pride ourselves on quick response times, but we understand you were eager to keep the project moving without delay. Asking for photos is our standard procedure so we can immediately verify CNC cut files, troubleshoot, or issue replacements—our team was ready to support you right away.
You are completely right about the rear hatch panel: a 1972–1976 panel was packed in error instead of the 1968–1971 version with the latch notch. We will reach back to you with return instructions so we can send you a replacement hatch panel to you free of charge so you have the exact fit.
Also, while 50+ year old VW bus bodies frequently have minor factory variations, a 3/8' variance is larger than expected. We are using your feedback to audit our CAD files for the 1971 walkthrough layout but note this is the first time we hear about this problem as we have sell multiple sets previously without issues.

I’m giving it 5 stars because that are sweet but I do have a couple issues. One the hole for the door handle is a hair too small I had to open it up a bit for the plastic trim bucket to fit flat. I had the same issue with my type 3 door panels. The second is the push in clips are a hair too small for the holes or the holes in my metal inner doors are too big but they could be a step up one size. I slam my doors and a couple of them fall out easily. Also the back hatch holes didn’t line up. That wasn’t a problem I just drilled new holes in my metal.

I love how it turned out. Looks great. The panel cutouts were perfect. Although some of the holes did not lineup but overall great fit and finish, I wish the complete set for a type 2 1973 VW bus came with the panels behind the front seats. Having them would of made it a true complete set. I had to make my own.

Looks great and fronts super easy to install. Rears were a bit more difficult due to the configurationof my car, no rear seat with a platform which covered over half of the panel. Still debatingabout the pocket option.

Received these as birthday present. Installed easily. The directions were well done. I did attach bubble wrap foil insulation to the back for a bit of sound deadening.
These are on my 69 Bwajaja; As I look at my 1303 German look remod, thinking will install rivnuts in the doors and use black bolts.

Panels came in packaged well. I did some custom door pulls to avoid arm rests, and the hole location works with the 66 doors. Very impressed with the holes for the perimeter of the door, and how well they line up. Install was a breeze.
I know the guys are busy, they did their best to respond in a timely manner to all my email questions.
One comment is - the spacers for the molle panels were 3D printed. It would be better if they were ABS or nylon spacers. If they're printed in ABS, that's fine too. I'm just worried if they're PLA, they'll deform in the heat over time.

** Update** all panels have been installed. And just like the rear, the panels installed effortlessly. These panels exceeded my expectations. I was expecting some burrs or uneven edges. But all of the panels are clean, well finished and straight! I only have the rear panels installed currently. The panels lined up with the factory holes. Push pins were the correct size. I could not have asked for a better fitting set of panels. Hopefully, when I install the front panels, those fit just as well.

I was given 64 pannels instead of 66 ones I had emailed but no response

These door panels are great. I installed them in my 71 super. I have had the car since I got my licence at 16 im almost 30 now and ive never had nice door panels. I saw these online and knew they were gonne be great as my windows dont seal. The plastic construction is perfect and wont warp when wet. The install was simple and only took about 30 minutes and completely change the feel of the interior. My headliner has been stripped and so were the doors so having panels makes the car feel almost civilized. Thanks Volkybaru
